Destruction Bay is a very small settlement of people and is based along the Alaska Highway. It is found on the historical mile 1083 on the highway. This is situated on Canada’s Yukon state. This place is not at all developed and is mainly inhabited by nomads or people who roam in search of food and shelter. The residents are mainly non-aboriginal residents who are known for the services they provide to the locals of the neighbouring villages. They are mainly involved in highway maintenance. The climate here is stable with bearable temperatures except some windstorms that come across occasionally. The population of this place was a mere 59 as recorded by a recent survey. This area is being considered to be a rest house for tourists on their way along the highway. This different name has originated because in 1943, the winds blew down structures along the highway and thus was known as Destruction Bay.
