Visit the Technological Institute in Saltillo, known as the ‘Athens of Mexico’, where many Mexican thinkers came from. The Saltillo Cathedral, a Baroque construction is one of the most important attractions in the city. Cristo de las Noas, a religious complex with a monumental sculpture of Christ, the second largest of its kind in Americas is located near Piedras Negras.

A well-frequented museum is the Museo de las Aves México (Bird Museum), exhibiting about seventy percent of the bird population of Mexico.
