The ancient Meso-American ruins and the popular beach resorts make Mexico an ideal vacation paradise. Cancun, located at the tip of the Yucatan peninsula, is one of the most popular tourist attractions. To its west is Isla Mujeres and between Cancun and the mainland is the Nichupte Lagoon.
Copper Canyon and Los Cabos are must-see locations with their beaches, beautiful landscape, great shoreline and exciting night life. Chichén Itza, Merida has much to offer for those interested in exploring. Tulum, known for its well-preserved Mayan ruins, is yet another popular tourist destination.
Home to several historical monuments and the continent’s largest cathedral, Mexico City is another must-visit. Some of the popular tourist destinations in Mexico City are the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon and La Zona Rosa. The city also houses the Plaza de Toros México, the world’s largest bullring, and the Mexican National Palace.
