When to visit
Guanajuato is situated in central Mexico and the name, Guanajuato means “Place of Frogs”. It is the most charming small city in Mexico and is worth visiting for its numerous sights, historic places, architectural houses and cafes. This is a romantic city, having enchanting weather, with something for all. The best time to visit Guanajuato is March, September and October. However, irrespective of the season, any time is time to visit Guanajuato. The most delightful time is morning and evening time, when the lavender Jacaranda trees flowers bloom. One can visit this place any time of the year; though there are occasional hailstorms occur in the months of November, December, January and February. The festivals are also popular here like the Cervantino Festival, attracting many tourists for 16 days in the month of October.
