Ixtapa is well known for its colonial and modern malls as well as its luxurious hotels, all designed to serve the tourists. El Palmar Beach is famous for water sports such as surfing. The Playa Linda Beach and Playa Quieta Beach, with several hotels alongside, are major tourist attractions. The La Marina de Ixtapa, with numerous yachts, luxury buildings and charming restaurants is a visual treat. For golf loyalists, Club de Golf Palma Real Ixtapa, a golf course which also has a club house and a restaurant, is an enriching experience.
