Museo de la Ciudad
The Museo de la Ciudad is located in the center of Guadalajara. This recently opened museum is located in a former convent and chronicles the history of the city from colonial times to modern day. The museum houses the historical, urban, ethnographic and artistic exhibits about the city. The museum has eight rooms, five of rooms in ground floor and the remaining three in the second level, describing the historical developments of the city. These are on permanent exhibition.
Along with these, the museum offers additional service incleding guided tours, a room for temporary exhibitions, a library with various important collections on the history of Mexico and universal, film, visual arts and literature, a multipurpose hall for conferences, workshops, book presentations, promoting cultural activities and many more. One cannot miss visiting this museum if they wish to drive deep into the history of this city.
