The Degollado Theater is a Mexican Theatre situated in Guadalajara well-known for its artistic design and diverse performances.  The theatre was opened to the public in September 1866 with opera “Lucia di Lammermoor” that was performed by Peralta also known as Nightingale of Mexico. It is a result of high demand of the Theatre in Guadalajara in past. 

The theater has a beautiful interior with red and golden color and numerous paintings. The theatre also has a chamber hall that has a capacity of holding 200 people. Along with beautiful interiors, the exterior of the building holds an artistic recognition. The ceiling of the theatre is covered with frescos. The theatre was initially called the Alarcon Theatre. The portico consists of 16. Nowadays the theatre is used for concerts, opera, classical ballet, recitals, theatre and various works by national as well as international performers.
