The city boasts of good spring like weather throughout the year, making it a treat for visitors at any time of the year. Even in the rainy season the rains do not last long and these short showers make the weather all the more pleasant.

Guadalajara is a safe place to travel in Mexico, however, visitors should take normal precautions such as being careful about cash and not leaving luggage unattended.

Avoid getting into any legal difficulties with the police because of careless driving or excess consumption of alcohol as the Mexican police can be severe.

Also, avoid driving without a license or carrying any firearms or ammunition with you.
