Also known as Ciudad Acuna or Acuna this place is located in the Mexican State of Coahuila. The city is one of the fastest growing communities in Mexico.
Earlier the city was founded by a group of Colonists headed by Domingo Urias and Irineo Casillas Arevalo and was named as Garza Galan under the military captain Manual Leal. Then the locality was renamed as Congregacian las Vacas. Further, this name was renamed as Villa Acuna in the year 1912 after Manuel Acuna, a Saltillan poet. There is also one interesting point to be noted about the city is that there has been many songs written by famous lyricists where stories of Acuna are being told.
The population of this place according to 2007 census comes to 200,000.
The climate is moderate throughout the year and tourists can visit this place at any time of the year.
