Tourist guide Aguascalientes

Aguascalientes is located in the state of Mexico in the center of the country. The name of this place means hot waters in Spanish, where one can find plenty of hot waters.

The city is considered to be one of the smallest cities in the whole of Mexico. Earlier it was a fort to protect the wagon trains that used to carry to silver from Zacatecas to the city of Mexico.  One can find peace and stability in this place. This place is also the home for many famous cathedrals and historical monuments.

With an array of attractions, this city has gone through many hardships and has overcome adversities too. Thus Aguascalientes is a city where one can find the colorful blend of traditional and contemporary culture. The state is also renowned for its National Fair of San Marcos.

With a pleasant climate this city draws tourists all over the world.

The population of Aguascalientes comes to 1,065,416 according to 2005 census.
