Cuicuilco is believed to be the first established farming community of the Formative period dating back to 900 to 700 BC.  This is an archeological site worth wandering whilst in Mexico City. Dominated by a circular temple, this is one of the most significant ruins in entire Mexico and in Central America.  The Cuicuilco pyramid is amidst a little forest with beautiful fauna and herbs, which is a must see site too.
