The Palacio Nacional also known as the National Palace is an official residence of the Mexican president and houses the government executive branches. The structure was built in 1563 and is a three-story building with the Liberty Bell hanging on niche of the palace. In the year 1963, the palace was reconstructed as it was burnt down in 1969. Several frescos can be seen on the wall of the palace, painted by Diego Rivera between 1929 and 1952. These colorful paintings exhibit the history of Mexico. There is also a gallery which shows the past Presidents of Mexico and is dedicated to the former President Benito Juarez.
