Torre Latino was the tallest skyscraper in Mexico at the time of its completion.
From here there are panoramic views of Mexico City and the Central Square or Zocalo.
It is a member of the world federation of large towers and, in 1957, after it survived an earthquake, this tower was awarded the prize of the American Association of Construction and Engineering.
The La Latinoamericana Seguros insurance company was founded and is still located in the building while the other floors are rented out.
The headquarters of the northwest zone of San Francisco was once situated in this tower.
The top 3 floors consist of the tallest public observatory and an aquarium. A digital clock once existed on the upper floors of the building for many years.
At one time it was listed as the forty fifth tallest building in the world and represented the start of the modern era of Mexico City.
