The Plaza de las Tres Culturas is a Spanish name and also called as the Plaza of the Three Cultures. Influenced by Spanish, Aztec and modern Mexican cultures, this is a site of the remains of Tlatelolco, an old Aztec city. Tourists visit the site to see the Aztec ruins, the modern Ministry of Foreign Affairs building and also the Catholic church of Santiago Tlatelolco dating back to 1609. The square here is a striking combination of old and new sites.
