Mexico City is a sprawling city and it would take you a long time to visit all the tourist spots.
Most of the attractions are downtown and in the south of the city. Turibus is the best way of travelling as one can buy a single ticket which can be used for the entire day and the bus takes you to all the popular tourist spots in Mexico City including Condesa, Polanco, Downtown, Zona Rosa and Chapultepec.
Besides you can get on and off the bus as many times as you like as there are a number of fixed stops along the way.
The city is not a safe one so avoid carrying important documents and valuables with you while travelling. The police are also not reliable and might try to take money from you on the pretext of charging you for breaking the rules.
Food and water served in public places may not be hygienic so beware of infection and take precautions.
