Tourist Guide Morelia
Morelia is a city and a municipality situated in the north central of Michoacán state in central Mexico. It was in 1991, when this city got declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well preserved colonial buildings and also for its historic center layout. The city is worth of a visit for this site and has a wealth of notable site like the façade and the bell towers of the Cathedral, La Alhondiga, which is presently a part of the Palace of Justice, the Colegio Seminario, which is at present the State Government Palace and many other 18th century mansions.
Whilst here, tourist can visit numerous historic buildings like the Plaza de Armas, the Melchor Ocampo Plaza and the Juarez Plaza. Museums like the orchid museum, the Orquidario of Morelia is a must visit place for it houses 3,400 species of flower.
A visit to Morelia is incomplete without attending any of its festivals like the Festival Internacional de Música de Morelia, Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia or the annual Zapata Vive Morelia Festival amongst other festivals.
