When to visit
The hottest months in Oaxaco are April and May, with rainfall pouring in June, improving things. From June to march, the place is excellent to explore and have fun. For tourists, the high season, when hotel rates are high are late July and August, early November, the month of December and during Easter. Though Oaxaco experiences nice climate year round, May to September tend to be more very hot, especially to the south of Oaxaco. In the inland areas, it is cold from December to February. The beach resorts and accommodation facilities are totally filled up during the Holy Week, the week prior to Easter, during Christmas, the New Year and also from July to September, as these are the popular months of holidays for the tourists. The state is even home to many festive events and is a must visit place, especially for its country cuisine.
