The Cathedral of Queretaro was constructed from 1786 to 1805. In 1921, Pope Benedict the XV, promoted this Temple to a Cathedral and in 1931 it was consecrated. It is located prior to the Plaza de Armas. It is eclectic and singular for neoclassical and baroque details. These styles were in force during the XVII and XVIII Century. The façade is made of tezontle and quarry stone.
