Playa del Carmen is a small town that can be explored even by foot as most of the attractions are situated at a walking distance. Playa del Carmen is well facilitated with the transportation facilities such as local buses for local people, visitors, etc. The most common transportation used by the locals is triciclos- a Mexican version of rickshaw. These rickshaws will take you wherever you want in Playa and are very cheap as well. Visitors can also explore Playa del Carmen via taxi.
Taxis are available almost everywhere in Mexico, even in the deserted places. The most economical way to get around the Playa del Carmen is through colectivo vans. One can also hire a car on rental basis to explore the places. One of the most ravishing ways of getting around the town is by boats. One can hire a boat and explore beyond the white sand beaches in Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen also has a airport, hence can be easily accessed by different places.
