Playa del Carmen experiences subtropical climate and so its weather can range from warm to hot for most time of the year. The average temperature is 27 degree Celsius and high humidity. The sea is warm for a swim and one has to pay attention whilst there can be storm too. It is advisable to visit the city in the month of November and January. During these months, the temperature is comfortable. February to May is also pleasant with little rain. But, June to August is hot and if a tourist visits the city, it is advisable to wear a hat or cover the head.
