Puerto Morelos in Mexico is located in the Northern region of the Riviera Maya. It is very convenient to reach this place from Cancun. From the Cancun International Airport, one has to proceed along coastal highway no. 307 in the direction of Tulum, southwards. Along this highway, there is an overhead highway sign which indicates a turn towards the left. Puerto Morelos is an expanding area and currently the neighborhoods are a blend of cabanas, hotels and modest homes. In this place, the opportunities for lodging range from rustic palapa style huts having beds suspended by ropes and thatched roofs to air conditioned condo style hotels with spa services, swimming pools, Jacuzzis and meal plans.
July and August are the warmest months with temperatures ranging from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius. January and February are the coolest months with temperatures ranging from 27 to 29 degrees Celsius.
