The main attractions in Ciudad Victoria include the monuments and structures built in the nineteenth century to commemorate various political figures. These include a bronze bust of Benito Juárez (five-time Mexican President), monuments of Porfirio Diaz Mori (another Mexican President) and of heroes of the Mexican War of Independence.
The Cathedral of Ciudad Victoria, an important tourist spot has a beautiful garden surrounding it. The Anthropology and History Museum of the State’s University displays works of Native cultures, with some sections dedicated Mexican history. The Juárez Theatre is worth visiting too.
In order to relax, you could go to the Estefania Castañeda Núñez de Cáceres, the first children’s park in Mexico. The Tamatan Recreational Centre, has a zoo, a sports centre, and open grounds.
Ciudad Victoria acts a base for tourists visiting Lake Vicente Guerrero, not far from this city.
