An outstanding monument of the city is the Cristo de las Noas, housing a 68-feet-tall image of Jesus Christ, with symbolically protective arms extended to face Torreón. The hill also has a church which gives you a spectacular view of the city.
Also visit the Guadalupe Temple with its outdoor sundial made of stone. The famous Casino de la Laguna, with its neo-renaissance architecture, and the Isauro Martinez Theatre, which is known throughout the country for its beautiful mix of architectural style and oriental décor, is worth a visit.
For the culture buffs, recommended visits include the Palaeontology Museum with its recently-uncovered fossils, the City Historical Museum with exhibits of Torreón's history, the Wax Museum with its wax sculptures and the quaint Rail Museum with its steam locomotives and rail models.
Visit in September to be a part of the Cotton and Grape Fair (La Feria Del Algodon y La Uva), which is the city’s main festival.
