Surface: The total land area of Mexico is around 1,923,040 sq km.

Religion: A majority of the Mexican population is Roman Catholic.

Official Language: Spanish is the official language.

Climate: The climate varies from tropical to desert. Higher parts of Mexico have a dry climate, while the coastal plains are humid.

Time Zone: Most of Mexico uses Central Standard Time (GMT – 6). However, certain states follow different time zones.

Currency: Mexican Peso (MXN).

Economy

Mexico has witnessed an impressive growth and increased competition in seaports, railroads, telecommunications, electricity generation, natural gas distribution and airports. Tourism is the third largest industry in Mexico. More than 90% of the exports go to the United States and Canada, and around 55% of Mexican imports come from these two countries.

The average cost of living in Mexico is average. Travel, hotels and accommodation are quite affordable.
