Cozumel is known as the largest island in Mexico and is nestled 12 miles off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. It is 28 miles long and 10 miles wide. It is known for its dazzling white sandy beaches. Here, the climate is subtropical and this reef is known to have little fishing community until 1961. Surrounded by coral reefs, Cozumel is known more for its snorkeling and scuba diving. It is also one of the top destinations in Mexico for more than half a century.
