The Centenarios is located some 12 blocks west of the Plaza Grande and is bordered by Avenida Itzáes, leading to the airport and as a highway to Campeche. The park is a public space and the third oldest park in Merida. Since 1965 it has been the setting for the traditiona Night Yucatecan Serenade. Also, the park's zoo houses the fauna of Yucatán and also few exotic species.
