Parque Sta. Lucia is situated in Merida, Yucatan, a block north of the Universidad de Yucatan. The place has arcades on the north and west sides, worth visiting for locals and tourists alike. When the city of Merida was small, the place was frequently visited by travelers to get on or off the stagecoaches that linked villages and towns with this provincial capital.
The park is also the venue of the Bazar de Artesanias, a local handicrafts market, which is held every Sunday. Overall, the park is a good place for families to bring along their children to play and to have total fun and entertainment.
