Alexander City is a place worth visiting especially for people who love history. It includes attractions such as Martin Dam which is as old as the year 1923, Horseshoe Bend Military Park, and many more. There is also the ‘Chimney Rock’ for those who are crazy about rock climbing. However, if you plan to visit Alexander City with your family, Children’s Harbor should not be missed out. It is located on Kowalia Bridge, off ‘Highway 63’. The facilities like ‘Tour of Homes’ and ‘art on the lake’ provided at Children’s Harbor are said to strengthen the bond between kids and families.
Horseshoe Bend National Military Park
This 2040 acre Military Park has been dedicated to memory of Creek Nation Indians and US soldiers who embraced death on 27th of March, 1814 in Battle of Horseshoe Bend. The museum and visitor center go on to depict period of battle.
Wind Creek State Park
Wind Creek State Park, which is located at a distance of 7 miles to the south-east of Alexander City spans around 1445 acres. This area is full of hardwood and pine ridges on shoreline of gorgeous Lake Martin.
