The Anniston Museum of Natural History
The Anniston Museum of Natural History has seven exhibition halls depicting the wilds of Africa, wilderness of North America and enigmatic 2000 year old Mummies. Some of the most lofty and dangerous animals can be seen in their natural habitat in the open-air exhibits at the museum. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor trails and shopping experience at the Museum. Situated at the crossroads of Highways 431 and 21 in the Lagarde Park, Anniston, Alabama the museum can be reached from interstate 20, exit 185.
Chief Ladiga Trail
Connecting the municipalities Jacksonville, Piedmont, Anniston and Weaver the Chief Ladiga Trail is 33 miles long rails-to-trails project. Visitors can witness some of the most beautiful wetlands, rivers, farms and forest along the trail. The trail is a safe haven for those who want to relax and enjoy with family away from pollution.
The Pinhoti Hiking Trail
The Pinhoti Hiking Trail is one of the most beautiful trails in Alabama State lined with pine trees and streams. It is passes through many hollows and on a whole it invites the visitors with its many magnificent scenes of the valley.
