The most famous attraction of Bessemer is the Alabama Adventure, a theme park. The Bright Star, a restaurant in downtown Bessemer, is known as the town’s oldest continuously-operated food joint. Headquartered in Bessemer City is the Carolina Cruisers, a classic auto club, that host several car shows each year. Crowders Mountain State Park is famous for activities such as hiking, camping, rock climbing, picnics, fishing and educational events.
