Cedar Bluff is a town and is located in Cherokee County of Alabama in United States.
It is a wet city and is known as “Crappie Capital of the World” the place got its name from growing Cedars overlooking the Weiss Lake that presents beautiful landscape.
Looking at the history of this town, many renowned and cultured people has visited this place, right from the Spanish explorer Fernando De Soto to Confederated General Nathan Bedford Forrest at the time of Civil war. This historical place was earlier known as Jefferson.
Emergence of industries such as mercantile, mills and hotels has given a boom to this place. Earlier cotton farming was the revenue earner for the town before the development of industries. Cedar Bluff is a good place to spend vacation with family.
The estimated population of this place comes to 1,467 according to 2000 census.
