Cullman is located in Cullman County in Alabama, USA. The city has a population of about 16,675 and is spread over an area of approximately 50 sq km. The city was founded in 1873 by a German refugee, John G Cullman, and gradually, German families began settling in the area.
Cullman was incorporated as a city five years later in 1878. This city is an important centre for commercial, financial as well as political activities. The tourism and the manufacturing industry form the backbone of the city’s economy.
Cullman, though small, has an extremely varied topography that includes high mountains covered with dense vegetation, placid lakes, beautiful waterfalls, meandering rivers and so forth.
Falling in the Mountainous Region of Alabama, the city enjoys a temperate climate with the average annual temperature of about 15°C. The area also receives a considerable amount of precipitation.
