Boll Weevil Monument
This monument can be described as a huge statue of a lady holding ‘Boll Weevil’. It has been located in town square. The erection of this statue is associated with some history. The ‘cotton crop’ had destroyed; thereby causing agricultural diversity. The ‘Boll Weevil Monument’ was then made to stand in the center of the town, to remind people of ‘Boll Weevil’, i.e. the pest which caused this destruction. Thereafter, ‘peanut’ was adopted as the main crop.
Pea River Historical and Genealogical Society
The main objective of ‘Pea River Historical and Genealogical Society’ is to preserve history in ‘Pea River region’ of ‘Coffee County, Alabama’. This society was started in the year 1970. A ‘Log Structure’ has been built on this site in the form of a ‘rest stop’ as well as an information center for various transients traveling through ‘Enterprise’.
