Collection of documents and artifacts which comprise Mobile Medical Museum started in the year 1962. A gift was donated by a person called ‘Patricia Heustis Paterson’ in the form of a memorial to James F. Heustis, her father; who was a doctor (MD) with an exceptional medical career.
She was then encouraged by Samuel Eichold II, MD to designate he gift to be used for starting a museum on the name of her father. This museum has been included in National Register of Historic Places.
