At any given moment, the United States Army Aviation Museum has almost 50 aircraft on display in the public galleries. However, the total collection in the museum comprises of more than 160 vertical flight aircraft, helicopters and airplanes. There are also three thousand other items in the historical property collection. The collections are classified as Fixed Wing, Rotary Wing and Vertical Flight.
