The most unique and amusing thing about Prattville is that it has wells that serve sweet drinking water.
A lot of wells have dried up but, some of them are still operational. The place is called Artesian Well, and it is indeed refreshing to sit under a tin shed and have a refreshing drink of sweet natural water.
One very prominent historic place here is the Buena Vista. Another beautiful and educating place is a museum named Prattaugan Museum and Heritage Center.
Nearby cities include Montgomery, Selma and Auburn. Montgomery is around 14 miles towards the Northwest, Selma is 32 miles towards the West and Auburn is 59 miles towards the East.
Mardi Gras Parade is an annual event that held here and a lot of people participate in the event.
There is a nominal fee for each entry registration and there are very good prizes awarded to the best entry.
