Sitka has a great national park that attracts a lot of tourists every year. It is a hundred and seven acre park that has scenic beauty across the Trail.
This place is called Sitka National Historic Park. There are a lot of places that treasure art and history here.
Some of the most popular museums and galleries are Sheldon Jackson Museum, Sitka Historical Museum, Sitka Rose Gallery and Fishermen’s Eye.
Around 94 miles away towards the Northern side is a place called Juneau and around 184 miles towards southeast is a place called Ketchikan.
Ketchikan is a popular place and its major attraction is the Tongass National Forest.
The Sitka Summer Music Festival is usually hosted in June and in the month of July they celebrate the Fourth of July.
The Fourth of July festival is celebrated with a parade, games and food. Another grand festivity here is the Annual Sitka Whale Fest.
This event attracts a lot of scientists as well and it has a whale watching cruise as well.
