The Alaska Aces are a minor league ice hockey team in Anchorage in Alaska. They were originally part of the West Coast Hockey League, but after the WHCL was absorbed by the East Coast Hockey League in 2003, the team joined the merged ECHL. Anchorage was an original WCHL franchise and joined the league in 1995. However, in 2002, due to financial troubles, the team was put up on sale on eBay.
