Experiencing the sights and sounds of the largest mammals in the world, some measuring over 100 feet long, while in their natural habitat is unforgettable and at times emotional.   Whether you see them from a chartered boat with a naturalist narrating the journey or spot them from land while hiking on the hundreds of trails in Alaska, it’s certainly a joy.

Whale watching season typically runs from April through September depending on the species as the giants migrate north in pods from Mexico to Alaska along the coast and out at sea in the open waters.  Keep your eyes peeled for any of the traveling species including the Orca whales (luike Willy), Humpback, Blue, Grey and Beluga whales. Be on the look-out for their blowhole spouts and you just might also catch a glimpse of a whale tail flipping on the way up or down into the waters of the Pacific.  Magic stuff.
