Kuskokwim River
This river holds the 9th position in the US; in terms of area. Its length is around 1165 kilometers. It goes on to provide principal drainage with regards to a region of remote ‘Alaska Interior’ on northern and western side of Alaska Range; that flows towards the southwest in to Kuskokwim Bay along Bering Sea. This river is flat and wide for entire course; except for HQ in mountains.
Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge
The consolidation of Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge took place in the year 1980 under Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act. This region is known as the most significant ‘shorebird nesting area’ all over the US. Birds all the way from 6 main flyways; from ‘Atlantic Ocean’ to ‘Asia’s eastern coast’; happen to nest on this refuge. Moreover, they feed to far-off nesting grounds on their ways.
