Attractions and Places to visit Talkeetna

Talkeetna has good restaurants that serve mouthwatering food. An American restaurant which serves great sea food is the West Rib Pub and Grill.  

Other good places to eat are Talkeetna Road House and Mountain High Pizza Pie.

Things that are unique about Talkeetna and are worth trying are Hudson Air Service, Grand Denali Tour, Talkeetna Air Service and Mahay’s Riverboat Service.  

A place that stores the history of Talkeetna and the artifacts for its natives is the Talkeetna Historic Society’s Museum.  

It is located in downtown Talkeetna in the Little Red School House. From the past three and a half decades the Talkeena Historic Society has been host to a fantastic event called the annual Moose dropping festival.

This is a family fun festival and people love to witness it.

It is hosted for two reasons first in remembrance of the gold seekers and secondly in memory of Brad Wasburn, who is considered as the icon of Alaskan mountaineering.

Willow, Houston and Palmer are near by cities and they too have great tourist attractions.
