Museum of the Aleutians

Museum of the Aleutians goes on to offer exhibits on the permanent basis; which feature archaeological research with regards to Aleutian Region. Displays are inclusive of an ‘ethnographic collection’, changing gallery that features ‘weaving’ as well as the other ‘art-forms’, petite tools, American and Russian coins; apart from collection of various archaeological items pertaining to different sites.

Timings

This museum remains open from Mondays to Saturdays between 1100 and 1600 hrs; and on Sundays between 1200 and 1700 hrs. These timings are applicable from 1st of June to 30th of September. From 1st of October to 30th of May, the timings are: 1100 to 1600 hrs From Mondays to Saturdays.

St. Christopher by the Sea Catholic Church

The main objective of authorities of St. Christopher by the Sea Catholic Church is to inculcate faith in youths as well as adults. ‘Archdiocese of Anchorage’ sends ‘circuit priest’ to Unalaska 2 weekends per month. As such, the priest stays in town for around a week ‘in between’. At times, it might happen that stringent weather conditions might postpone arrival of priest to this community.
