Alaska is located in the extreme north-western region of North America. It does not border any US state, but it is bounded to the east by the Canadian provinces of Yukon and British Columbia, to the west by the Bering Sea and Chukchi Sea, to the north by the Arctic Ocean and Beaufort Sea and to the south by Gulf of Alaska and the Pacific Ocean. It is the largest American state in terms of area.
