Hot Springs Reservations was declared a national park on 4 March 1921. The Hot Springs Mountains are the origin of the hot springs that flow in the area. The pure water is managed and available for the use of the public.
Popularly known as ‘The American Spa’, the park has a number of bathhouses which attracts tourist in large numbers. The hot springs at the park have been used for almost two centuries now to treat several ailments like rheumatism etc. The park is also known for its hiking trails and camping grounds. The Gulpha Gorge Campground is the most popular campground in the park. The visitor centre, located in the famous Fordyce Bathhouse, is an interesting place to visit. The park is home to dense vegetation as well, making it a haven for all the nature lovers.
