| Attractions and things to do |
Nez Perce National Historical Park has 38 sites that are spread over Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The park preserves the site of the traditional Nimiipuu people. The visitor centre is the best place to start a trip at the park. A number of outdoor activities are organised at the Spalding site, Big Hole National Battlefield and Bear Paw Battlefield. Tourists can get information about the Nez Perce history from the film ‘Nez Perce—Portrait of a People’ that is screened all through the year at the Spalding Visitor Centre. The Canoe Camp marks the site where canoes were built by the Lewis and Clarke expedition. The other important sites in Idaho are the Coyote’s Fishnet, Ant and Yellowjacket, Fort Lapwai and Tolo Lake. |
