Acadia National Park, set up on 8 July 1916, has everything that a tourist spot should have. All the information about the region can be gathered at the visitor centre or the park headquarters.
Driving along the 20-mile Park Loop Road or the Cadillac Mountain route offers an enchanting view of the landscape with the mountains, coast, the lush green forest and the ocean. The Islesford Historical Museum would be of great interest to all the history lovers. The Wild Gardens of Acadia with a variety of plants and trees, pond, marsh and meadows is a must see.
