| Attractions and things to do |
Roosevelt Campobello International Park houses the memories of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his family. This was set up as an international park on 7 July 1964.
The centrepiece of the park is the 34-room bungalow where Roosevelt spent his summers. The Edmund S. Muskie Visitor Centre has interesting displays and panels for tourists. This centre is the best way to get informed about the park and Roosevelt. The rooms open for public at the residence are President Roosevelt’s office, his bedroom, his living and dining rooms. A popular rock formation, the Friar’s Rock, is also an attraction at the park. There are many walking trails also at the park giving a panoramic view of the diverse landscape at the island. |
