Designated as a national park in 1974, the Boston National Historical Park is an amalgamation of eight sites which asserts the site’s role in the American Revolution. Operated by the National Park Service, the park is a leading tourist destination.
The Bunker Hill Movement, Charlestown Navy Yard, Dorchester Heights, Faneuil Hall, Old North Church, Old South Meeting House, Old State House and Paul Revere House are the eight sites which are included in the park.
Visitors are treated to a variety of tours, lectures and exhibitions which help them understand the history of the region. Also, walking tours of the region are extremely popular with the tourists with the park rangers conducting historic talks as well. The USS Constitution Museum features exhibitions. |
