Minnesota is located in the mid-western region of the USA. It is the northernmost state outside of Alaska. The state shares its northern border with the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Manitoba. The southern boundary is shared with Iowa, while North Dakota and South Dakota lie to the west and the eastern border is shared with Wisconsin and Lake Superior. Minnesota is also known as the ‘Land of 10,000 Lakes’.
