North Dakota offers a lot of outdoor activities to its visitors, like biking, fishing and hunting, and several State Park Trails. History fanatics will find Bonanzaville, the history museum complex, of particular interest. The North Dakota Museum of Art and the Plains Art Museum boast of a vast and exquisite collection.
The Enchanted Highway is truly an amazing experience, with sculptures spread out on the road. The International Peace Garden, in Manitoba, North Dakota, houses a floral clock, fountain, chimes and the Peace Tower, which have a peace chapel at their base. Also, some remains from the World Trade Centre attacks of September 11, 2001 have been placed in part of the garden.
The Grand Cities Art Fest features 150 artists who present their work in individual booths, food stalls and a children’s arena, making it popular festival. The Norsk Høstfest, celebrated in October, in Minot, is the largest Scandinavian cultural festival in North America. North Dakota also hosts the Fargo Film Festival, which screens a host of international and national films.
